The Golden Gate Chapter, in the tradition set by Heinz-Willi Lottermann for the Bad Camberger Internationaler Veteranentreffen, Founded the Solvang Veteranentreffen in October, 1990. This event is staged in Solvang every other year in the September/October timeframe and features a Hospitality Suite, Toy Show, Car Show/Swap Meet, Banquet, and world renown Wine Tour. Every year since it's inception in May, 1982, the Golden Gate Chapter, puts on a Christmas Party for its Members. This event was held at Mark Merrill's Museum in December, 2006 and was a real treat for all who attended. What we now know is that Mark collects toys of all sizes, so a tour of his collection is a dream many wish they could fulfill. The Kelley Park Spring Meet started in 1985 when the Golden Gate Chapter, puts on a Car Show and Swap Meet. This event has now grown in size and stature and now features a Hospitality Night on Friday, a banquet on Saturday night.
